  • Registration for Students, Teachers, and Judges: January 2 - February 4, 2025
  • First Round Online Judging: February 13 - February 23, 2025
  • Final Round Online Judging: February 25 - March 2, 2025
  • In-Person Contest: March 2, 2025
  • Award Ceremony and Announcement: March 6, 2025
  • New York State History Day: April 27, 2025
  • National History Day: June 8 - 12, 2025

 

The Center for Brooklyn History is once again hosting New York City History Day.

The NHD 2025 theme is "Rights and Responsibilities" You can visit the National History Day website for an introduction to this year’s theme.

 

 


New York City History Day is an education program that engages students in grades 6-12 in the discovery and interpretation of historical topics. By participating in History Day, students can research topics related to the annual theme and can express themselves creatively through various formats such as exhibit boards, documentaries, websites, papers, and performances.
